Business Gazelles
Since 2001 Coface has been authoring a Business Gazelle ranking for most rapidly developing Polish small and medium business, published annually in Puls Biznesu, one of Polish most popular business and economy daily newspapers.
As Poland's biggest credit reference agency, we have an extensive and up-to-date database on Polish businesses, which we use to draw up the ranking. Moreover, each year we pay special attention to update the information on companies applying to be ranked.
While making the ranking, not only do we try to rank the companies on the basis of strict statistical and qualitative data, but also we make sure that they are creditworthy.
Basic Business Gazelles ranking criteria:
For each ranking edition, we examine the candidate's results three full years back, and that's the minimum time a candidate has to have operated before entered in the ranking. Additionally their turnover must reach between PLN 3 and 200 million and grow year-on-year together with the growth in profit within the examined period.
Each candidate must make the three year financial results available to the appropriate economic court divisions or directly to Coface, or provide them in the entrance form.
A position in the ranking depends on the percentage turnover growth achieved over the examined period of three years (e.g. 2016 vs. 2014).
The ranking is not for:
- financial service providers and similar companies such as banks, insurance companies, factors
- businesses with a negative value of own capital within an examined period
- capital croups
