Edition of 2014
We support companies
The Coface conferences are devoted to the risks that accompany entrepreneurs in their global commercial transactions. During meetings the delegates can become familiar with the analyses of current trends in the world economy, the risk assessment on individual markets and the experience of Polish exporters in risk management.
We share knowledge
The Country Risk Conferences are a source of knowledge for managers who take strategic decisions relevant for the business growth.
They are valued by delegates for their diversity of subjects and professional and non-commercial approach of the organisers and lecturers.
We invite experts
The Coface Conferences are addressed to members of management boards, owners, directors and financial controllers as well as risk assessment heads. The lecturers include Polish and foreign economists and analysts, specialists from the banking, insurance sectors and from economic organisations as well as exporters who have the practice.
IX Coface Country Risk Conference 2014 was held in Warsaw on March 27th, under the auspices of the Economic Council at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in Poland. The main motto of this year's edition was: “Time for better times? Risk management in commercial transactions in the period of economic growth”. The best conclusion of the conference should be the fact, that after all discussions, the representative of the Economic Council - respected economist Maciej Reluga - covered the question mark in the motto placed on the big roll-up, leaving no question, but a statement: Time for better times.
However, it should be noted, that all the speakers agreed, the positive outlook is threatened by the unstable situation in Russia and Ukraine, because these two countries are very important trading partners for Polish companies.
The conference was divided into two parts: Global perspective and Polish perspective. Among the speakers were: Yves Zlotowski, Grzegorz Sielewicz – Coface economist in CER, other three well-known Polish economists, representatives of Polish National Bank, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and two Polish exporters, who presented interesting case studies.
The conference once again met with great interest. The meeting was attended by almost 250 guests, a high-level managers of large and medium sized companies. A whole conference was transmitted online through business portal Bankier.pl.
We invite you to participate in next year's Country Risk Conference 2015. Meanwhile, we encourage you to watch the presentations of our speakers, recordings of their speeches and photos.
